Fancy billhead and invoice for Beaver Hats
Philadelphia: c.1830. 8" x 6 1/2". Engraved in ornate letter and script. Very good condition. The billhead is for Edward Schelmerdine's hat manufactory located at 159 Chestnut St, in Philadelphia The invoice is for 3 purchases of Beaver hats during the year of 1830. Schelmerdine arrived in Philadelphia from England in 1807. He was an active member of the Franklin Institute. Item #669
