Signed by S.P. Seymour, cashier. The Cuyler family owned a farm where Joseph Smith dug for money on the property. S.P. Seymour signed a statement which mentions the Smith family digging for gold and the states: "Joseph Smith and his son Joseph in particular considered entirely destitute of moral character and addicted to vicious habits...."
