Kanady, Alexander M. 4 pp letter to Edward McGlenan of Boston. Feb. 24, 1895. Kanady writes of his efforts on behalf of Mexican War Veterans but says the bill in Congress "is handicapped by a clause admitting the Indian War men to the same rates." Tears along folds, else good. Kanady was a Mexican War Veteran who founded and served as Secretary of the National Association of Mexican War Veterans. He is credited with passage of a bill in 1887 which granted Mexican War Veterans pensions. Item #2470
